Kitchen & Laundry — Macarthur Heights

This Macarthur Heights kitchen and laundry renovation was about achieving a high-end finish while managing the realities of renovating an existing home. The kitchen was elevated with a stone splashback, waterfall edges, 40mm stone, undermount sinks, LED strip lighting and timber flooring.

Achieving the finish required extremely precise work, particularly because the existing ceiling was uneven. The ceiling had to be adjusted, with the shadowline finished to within approximately a millimetre of the design requirements. In the laundry, the ceiling was dropped to create a perfectly level finish that matched the drawings, while specialist powerpoints were incorporated into the design.

Another major consideration was keeping dust and disruption to a minimum while coordinating multiple trades and maintaining a clean working environment. The result was a highly detailed kitchen and laundry renovation where the quality of the finished product depended as much on careful coordination and precision as the materials themselves.
